Please feel welcome to join us in worship of our Heavenly Father. If you do, you will likely find that the worship is simple but rich. No organ or rock band, but simply believers offering up a “sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips (Heb 13:15).” The preaching and instruction will be a straightforward exposition of God’s Word, with practical application and exhortation to the listeners. You’ll be reminded of the creeds which Christ’s Church has professed since ancient times, and you’ll witness Christ’s sacraments carefully and regularly administered.
Theologically, we are Reformed, which means that we hold to the principles that the Reformation was founded on. This includes the “5 Solas”: Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone), Solus Christus (Christ alone), Sola Gratia (by grace alone), Sola Fide (through faith alone), and Soli Deo Gloria (to God alone be the glory). Secondly, our church government is Presbyterian, which means that we exist as a part of a larger body of believers (a presbytery and a denomination).
Thanks for taking the time to get to know us. While you’re here, feel free to take a look at our schedule of activities, or listen to a sermon. If you’re interested in visiting with us, please see the directions to our location in East Rochester. We look forward to seeing you!
